Time was, you couldn’t dream of finding a Starbucks in Harlem.  The first Starbucks to arrive in Harlem in 1999 was a joint venture between Magic Johnson and Starbucks, and was part of a special effort to reach “inner city” and “under-served” neighborhoods.
